Electrician

Job Description As an Electrician at ForseMark, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This position involves working with a variety of electrical systems, from power distribution to lighting, to support our manufacturing processes.

Typical Duties

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with codes and safety standards.
  
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications for installation and repair projects.
  
• Install and repair electrical components such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
  
• Test electrical systems and components to identify faults, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs.
  
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
  
• Use hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment, to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute electrical projects.
  
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards.
  
• Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.
  
• Respond to emergency electrical calls and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
  
• Stay updated on electrical codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
  
• Assist in the design and installation of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing systems.
  
• Train and mentor junior electricians or apprentices on electrical procedures and safety practices.
  
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule electrical work and minimize disruptions to operations.
  
• Support facility expansions, renovations, or relocations by installing new electrical infrastructure.
  

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical work.
  
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.
  
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, meters, and tools for diagnostics and repairs.
  
• Understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  
• Physical stamina and dexterity to work with tools and equipment in various environments.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in installations and repairs.
