Typical Duties

• Collaborate with environmental engineers and scientists to design and implement solutions for environmental issues.
  
• Assist in conducting field investigations and data collection related to air, water, soil, and waste management.
  
• Use specialized equipment and tools to analyze samples of air, water, soil, and other environmental media.
  
• Perform laboratory tests and experiments to assess the impact of pollutants and develop mitigation strategies.
  
• Assist in the development and implementation of environmental monitoring programs.
  
• Prepare reports, maps, and charts detailing environmental data and findings for review by engineers and regulatory agencies.
  
• Conduct site inspections to assess compliance with environmental regulations and identify areas for improvement.
  
• Assist in the design and installation of environmental control systems and remediation technologies.
  
• Provide support for environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.
  
• Stay updated on environmental regulations, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness of solutions.

Experience and Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Environmental Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  
• Previous experience in an environmental technician or technologist role is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines related to air quality, water quality, waste management, and sustainability.
  
• Familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment, sampling techniques, and laboratory procedures.
