Typical Duties

• Set up and prepare heat treating equipment according to specifications and work orders. This includes installing fixtures, loading materials, and adjusting controls.
  
• Operate heat treating machinery, such as furnaces, ovens, and quenching tanks, to process metal and plastic parts. Duties involve monitoring temperature, time, and pressure settings for optimal results.
  
• Load materials into the equipment using hoists, overhead cranes, or manually as required. Proper handling and placement of materials are crucial for uniform heat distribution.
  
• Monitor the progress of heat treating processes, making adjustments to controls as needed. Attention to detail is essential to ensure precise heat treatment cycles.
