Job Description Maintenance and Repair Workers, General Maintenance and Repair Workers at ForseMark play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, and buildings within the company's facilities. They are responsible for conducting repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks to uphold safety, efficiency, and functionality.

Typical Duties

• Perform routine inspections of machinery, mechanical systems, and building facilities to identify issues or potential problems.
  
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment life.
  
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in machinery, equipment, or building structures.
  
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
  
• Use hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts inventory, and equipment history.
  
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from production staff or supervisors to minimize downtime.
  
• Inspect and repair plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems within buildings as needed.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
  
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members, supervisors, and external contractors for larger repair projects.
  
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe for oneself and others.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance-related fields preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a Maintenance and Repair Worker, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance.
  
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repairs and maintenance.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  
• Physical stamina and agility for lifting, bending, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections and accurate repairs.
  
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and external vendors.
  
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
