Job Description

Mechanical Engineering Technologists at ForseMark play a pivotal role in assisting engineers
in the design, development, and testing of mechanical devices. They are instrumental in
ensuring that projects progress smoothly from conception to execution by
applying their technical expertise and hands-on skills.

 


Typical Duties

  • Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Assist in the design process by creating detailed drawings, models, and prototypes.
  • Conduct tests on mechanical devices to assess performance, functionality, and durability.
  • Analyze test results and provide feedback to engineers for improvements.
  • Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for drafting and modeling purposes.
  • Assist in the selection of materials, components, and suppliers for projects.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations on project progress and findings.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose solutions in collaboration with engineers.
  • Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with company standards.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, mechanical systems, and materials.
  • Familiarity with testing methods, equipment, and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in design and testing processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
