Job Description
As a Millwright at ForseMark, you will play a vital
role in the installation, dismantling, repair,
and movement of machinery and heavy equipment to support our manufacturing
operations.
This position involves working with precision and expertise to
ensure
the proper functioning and maintenance of our industrial machinery.

Typical Duties
- Install new machinery and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams,
and manufacturer specifications.
- Dismantle and remove old or obsolete machinery, ensuring safe and
efficient disposal or recycling.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as lubrication, alignment, and adjustment
to keep machinery in optimal condition.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose faults, and perform repairs
to restore equipment functionality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to
assemble, disassemble, and adjust machinery.
- Align and level machinery using rigging equipment, hoists, and precision
measuring tools.
- Fabricate or modify machine parts as needed to fit specifications
or replace damaged components.
- Move and relocate machinery within the facility, ensuring proper installation
and alignment.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to
understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential
issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute
equipment upgrades or modifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working
environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and
parts inventory.
- Train and mentor junior millwrights or apprentices on proper installation
and maintenance procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
in millwrighting.
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a millwright apprenticeship
program preferred.
- Proven experience as a millwright in an industrial or manufacturing
environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills in machinery installation,
repair, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and
precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, hoisting equipment, and safe lifting
practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with welding, machining, and fabrication of metal parts.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical
issues.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending,
and working at heights.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in assembly and alignment
of machinery.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members
and convey technical information.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in millwrighting
practices.
