Job Description: Occupational Health and Safety Specialists at ForseMark develop, implement, and manage programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees. They will conduct inspections, identify hazards, provide training, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Typical Duties:

• Develop and implement occupational health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes.
• Identify potential hazards and assess risks in the workplace.
• Recommend and implement control measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
• Provide training to employees on safety protocols, procedures, and emergency response.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and report findings.
• Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with management, HR, and safety committees on safety initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety.
  

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in occupational health and safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to promoting a safety culture.
