Job Description

Transportation and Material Moving Occupations at ForseMark are essential roles
responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials
within the company's facilities.

These positions play a vital role in supporting production, logistics, and warehouse operations.

 


Typical Duties

  • Transport materials, products, and supplies within the facility using forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles with materials and products.
  • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and securing of materials for transport.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hoists, or conveyors.
  • Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and workstations.
  • Assist in the assembly, disassembly, or staging of equipment, machinery, or components.
  • Perform inventory checks, cycle counts, and stock replenishment tasks.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and shipping/receiving teams to fulfill orders.
  • Assist in the packaging, wrapping, and palletizing of products for shipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, aisles, and storage locations.
  • Follow safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies for material handling.
  • Inspect equipment, vehicles, and tools for proper functioning and report any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Operate company vehicles for the transportation of materials, products, or personnel.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of transportation vehicles and equipment.
  • Duties may vary based on specific tasks, products, and operational needs within the company.

Experience and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in transportation or material handling preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for operating company vehicles; forklift certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials or products (up to 50 pounds or more).
  • Physical stamina and endurance for prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory counts and transactions.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address transportation and logistics challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and work schedules.
