Job Description
As a Transportation, Storage, and Distribution Manager
at ForseMark,LLC, you will play
a pivotal role in overseeing the movement and logistics of our materials
and products.
Your responsibilities will include managing transportation
networks, optimizing storage
facilities, and ensuring efficient distribution processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation routes,
reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and distribution centers to ensure
timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements
and cost savings.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels and storage capacity to meet operational
demands.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock shortages and
excess inventory.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory counts
and efficient storage practices.
Logistics Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling
shipments, dispatching vehicles, and tracking deliveries.
- Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to negotiate contracts,
rates, and service agreements.
- Monitor the performance of transportation providers and address any
issues or delays.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards,
and industry requirements.
- Develop and enforce procedures for handling hazardous materials, ensuring
proper storage and transportation practices.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs for
transportation and warehouse staff.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze transportation data to evaluate performance metrics
and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and analyses to support decision-making
and operational planning.
- Implement tracking systems and software tools to monitor shipments,
inventory levels, and delivery timelines.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of transportation coordinators, warehouse supervisors,
and logistics specialists.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous
improvement within the transportation and logistics department.
- Provide training, guidance, and professional development opportunities
to enhance team performance and capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in transportation management, logistics operations,
or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, carrier management,
and freight forwarding practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS),
and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, trends,
and performance metrics.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the
ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership qualities, including team-building, decision-making, and
problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in logistics and supply chain management (e.g., Certified
Supply Chain Professional, Certified Transportation Professional) is
a plus.
